Out now, the debut CD from Sketch

Out now the debut CD from Sketch

The first CD from the excellent Sketch. With Dave Bowie on double bass, Gary Boyle on guitar, and Maggie Boyle on voice, flute and bodhrán, this is a wonderful collection of traditional and contemporary songs and tunes, with the odd jazz classic thrown in for good measure.

A superb debut album which captures the bands atmospheric performance beautifully.

Buy it today and enjoy it for years to come!

You can also hear Sketch performing live and being interviewed by following the links on the sketch page at skinnymalinks

Expatriate Game Reviews

New reviews for The Expatriate Game (Duck Baker, Maggie Boyle, Ben Paley) have been posted on Skinnymalinks Music for you to read or download as a word doc.

Here's a sample for those who can't wait!

"...offers the very real sense that these three musicians not only understand their music but know how to convey their grasp of the traditions to a wider audience."

"...one has to celebrate the impeccable musicianship: three musicians perfectly attuned to each other and to their audience performing with a rare blend of virtuosity and affection for their music."

"Guitar, flute and fiddle weave seamlessly in and out of the tunes until there's nobody driving, no passengers, just three wonderful musicians making wonderful music."

"The songs and tunes come from America and Ireland and there is some glorious singing and playing throughout. "

"So trust me, the aforementioned three musicians working together give us something truly special on this CD. Their empathy is remarkable; rarely do you hear such miraculous attunement between performers..."
