Grace Note 20th cd cover

Grace Notes are;

Maggie Boyle – vocals, flute, bodhran
Lynda Hardcastle – vocals, recorders
Helen Hockenhull – vocals, keyboard, concertina, mandolin

Grace Notes perform a cappella and accompanied arrangements of traditional and contemporary songs in three-part harmony.

Their highly praised harmonies and thoughtful repertoire make them one of the folk scene's best-loved female groups. Individually they have an even longer history of live performance and recording sessions with Nic Jones, The Chieftains, Mountain Ash Band, John Tams, Bert Jansch, New Victory Band & Muckram Wakes, to name only some.

"the voices glide like birds circling on warm air currents"   fRoots

“nothing short of stunning”   Jim Lee, Dirty Linen USA

“..I can't put it plainer - they really are that special.”   David Kidman, NetRhythms

“…everything one expects from Grace Notes – great songs, meticulously selected, beautifully sung, exquisitely arranged, perfectly programmed.”   Nigel Schofield, Free Reed

Grace Notes are also available to perform their special presentation:

A Woman's Work  A presentation of songs about women's work through time. Grace Notes explore female occupations that are represented in traditional and contemporary material, from the C17th to the present day

You will hear songs and stories that span five centuries, from a fifteenth century Queen to a reluctant office-worker in the 21st century; and meet mothers, migrants, millworkers....laundry lasses, lace-makers and lavender girls...buffers and doffers and costers.

"Maids may sit still, go or run but a woman's work is never done"

All songs are arranged in harmony, a cappella and accompanied, with Grace Notes'  trademark flair and artistry
